Gran Black is a naturally colored kaolinite clay that functions as a multifunctional mineral active through a combination of adsorption, absorption, and surface-interaction mechanisms. Its layered mineral structure can absorb both water and oil, helping reduce excess sebum while maintaining skin balance. The negatively charged clay surface adsorbs impurities, pollutants, and unwanted residues from the skin surface, supporting detoxification and anti-pollution claims. In emulsions, it acts as a mineral co-surfactant and stabilizer by improving the organization of oil and water phases, while its fine particle size contributes to a smoother sensory profile and soft-focus effect on the skin.
