Description

AURIST AGC is a biotech-enabled, multifunctional conditioning biopolymer created using IFF’s proprietary Designed Enzymatic Biopolymers (DEB) technology. This process uses enzymes to polymerize simple plant-based sugars (sucrose from sugar beet) into a tailored alpha-glucan polysaccharide. Its cationic (positively charged) structure allows it to deposit onto negatively charged hair and skin surfaces. On hair, it smooths the cuticle and improves manageability by providing conditioning, while on the skin, it reduces roughness and improves rinsability by modifying the sensory profile of the formula.
